Mr. TUP Taguig Wins Best in Talent

Mr. Ronald Samson, an Architectural Technology student of TUP Taguig bagged the Best in Talent award in the recently concluded Mr. and Ms. TUP Personality 2017 held in TUP Manila on December 14, 2016.

Preluded with an interpretative dance/skit, Samson showcased and wowed the judges with his painting skills. Samson’s subject made no sense at first, but watch how he had everyone in the room clapping and beaming with smiles after.

COMSELEC Passes New Board Resolution

The Commission on Student Elections (COMSELEC) of the Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig (TUPT) Campus passed a new resolution on June 3, 2016 at the Special Legislative Convention of TUPT University Student Government (USG).

Board Resolution No. 116-005 entitled “A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR THE PROVISIONAL AMENDMENT OF THE COMMISSION ON STUDENT ELECTIONS (COMSELEC) CODE AND ARTICLE VII OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES – TAGUIG (TUPT) UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT (USG) CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS (CBL)” basically mandated that the House of Representatives of the TUPT USG shall be comprised of only two (2) Governors each from the Mechanical and Allied, Electrical and Allied, Civil and Allied, and Bachelor of Engineering and Allied Department; and Presidents of each accredited organization.

Call for Volunteers

USG is in need of committed student volunteers who can donate time and their skills for TUP Taguig students. We need student volunteers who can do and/or assist us in the following areas:
 
  • PRINT ADS
    • Preferably a beast in Adobe Photoshop, but ‘knowledgeable’ will do;
    • Exceptionally creative, but ‘just creative’ will do; and
    • With outstanding attention to detail.
  • STAGE DESIGN
    • With can-do attitude, working on a low budget to nothing;
    • Exceptionally creative but ‘just creative’ will do; and
    • With outstanding attention to detail.
  • HOSTING
    • Spontaneous;
    • With wit and charm; and
    • Can work well, with grace, under pressure.
  • EVENT FACILITATION
    • With overflowing energy;
    • Can work with minimum supervision; and
    • Amazing problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • TALENTS
    • With overflowing energy;
    • Can either sing, dance, or play piano/guitar — either solo or group.
  • DOCUMENTATION
    • With own SLR or digital camera;
    • Attentive, always on-the-go; and
    • Can work with minimal supervision

TUP Taguig is K12 Ready

The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig (TUPT) Campus is now accepting admission applications for its Senior High School Program. For Academic Year 2016-2017, TUPT offers Carpentry and Electrical Installation and Maintenance under its Technical and Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Strand. Additionaly, TUP will offer the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand, which leads to the following courses of TUPT:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSEcE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES);
  • Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology (BTIT);
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME);
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE); and
  • Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education (BTTE).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the TVL Strand, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have passed the Department of Education National Career Assessment Examination (DepEd NCAE) for TVL Strand;
  2. Must be physically fit; and
  3. Must pass the Senior High School Admission test of TUPT.

To be eligible for the STEM Strand, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have passed the Department of Education National Career Assessment Examination (DepEd NCAE) for TVL Strand;
  2. Must have an average of 80% each in Mathematics, Science, and English in Grade 10;
  3. Must be physically fit; and
  4. Must pass the Senior High School Admission test of TUPT.

Requirements

To be able to take the admission test in TUPT, submit the following and secure an examination permit at the Registrar’s Office, which is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM:

  • Photocopy of your DepEd NCAE result;
  • For graduating/graduated Junior High School, submit a photocopy of your Grade 10 Card;
  • Testing fee of four hundred pesos (Php 400.00) [Non-Refundable];
  • 2 pieces (1 1/2 x 1 1/2) ID picture with name tag;
  • 1 long letter window envelope, with postage stamp; and
  • Completely and properly filled up application form.
