TUP Taguig is K12 Ready

The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig (TUPT) Campus is now accepting admission applications for its Senior High School Program. For Academic Year 2016-2017, TUPT offers Carpentry and Electrical Installation and Maintenance under its Technical and Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Strand. Additionaly, TUP will offer the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand, which leads to the following courses of TUPT:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSEcE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES);
  • Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology (BTIT);
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE);
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME);
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE); and
  • Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education (BTTE).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the TVL Strand, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have passed the Department of Education National Career Assessment Examination (DepEd NCAE) for TVL Strand;
  2. Must be physically fit; and
  3. Must pass the Senior High School Admission test of TUPT.

To be eligible for the STEM Strand, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have passed the Department of Education National Career Assessment Examination (DepEd NCAE) for TVL Strand;
  2. Must have an average of 80% each in Mathematics, Science, and English in Grade 10;
  3. Must be physically fit; and
  4. Must pass the Senior High School Admission test of TUPT.

Requirements

To be able to take the admission test in TUPT, submit the following and secure an examination permit at the Registrar’s Office, which is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM:

  • Photocopy of your DepEd NCAE result;
  • For graduating/graduated Junior High School, submit a photocopy of your Grade 10 Card;
  • Testing fee of four hundred pesos (Php 400.00) [Non-Refundable];
  • 2 pieces (1 1/2 x 1 1/2) ID picture with name tag;
  • 1 long letter window envelope, with postage stamp; and
  • Completely and properly filled up application form.

For AET, COET, BSEE, and MET 2nd year students who are interested to represent their courses and run as Governor in the University Student Government (USG), here’s a copy of the application form and certificate of candidacy.

Fill-up the form completely and submit a copy in the USG office on or before Monday, September 28, 2015, 7PM.

Our 2nd Gear Up is a FREE workshop on Financial Planning that aims to educate TUP-T students on the importance of saving and investing for their future. Participants can avail of a simple, free financial check-up where highly trained financial advisers will analyze existing resources, assess financial requirements and propose appropriate financial tools that will address their financial goals. This service will be provided for free and is entirely non-obligatory on your part.
